Golden State Outlines was started by Pastor L. V. Wood in 1980 to promote outlines for sound Biblical preaching. He has available sound exegetical alliterated study outlines of 15 Bible books. Brother Wood was saved the last Sunday of May, 1969. Since then he has served Baptist churches in Oklahoma, Tennessee, New Jersey, Northwest Arkansas and California. Currently he is Pastor of Pastoral Care at the Valley Baptist church of Bakersfield, California. His desire is to see Christians trained to share their faith and see them use that knowledge on a daily basis.



Pastor & Mrs. Wood have been married for 30 years and have two adult children. A daughter, Sarah who lives in Florida who is married to a Coast Guard "Coastie" who serves on a helicopter rescue squad, and one son, Jesse who works at the home office of Wal-Mart in Arkansas. They have one granddaughter Lauren Marie, and a dog named Chico.

Proverbs 3:5-6 is his "life verse", while Daniel 12:3 is a motivational verse for him.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3).
